Payment
Wedding cakes and large specialty cakes require a $50.00 non-refundable deposit to reserve the date desired. This deposit is also known as a booking fee. Should you decide on Bit O' Sweets for your event, secure the date to avoid losing it. An inquiry about a date does not secure it for your order.
1/2 of the total must be made 30 days or more before the event date and the balance, minus the $50 deposit, is due no less than 14 days before the event date.
Should the order be cancelled for any reason less than 30 days but more than 21 days before event date, all of monies paid toward order, not including $50.00 non-refundable deposit, shall be refunded. Should the order be cancelled less than 21 days but more than 10 days before event date, 1/2 of monies paid toward order, not including $50.00 non-refundable deposit, shall be refunded. Should order be cancelled for any reason less than 10 days before event, no monies paid toward order shall be refunded.
If paying by check, order must be paid in full no less than 10 days in advance. Cash only if paying upon pick-up/delivery. This applies to all orders besides wedding cake and large specialty cakes which have their own payment schedule.
Rush Orders
All carved and tiered cakes as well as other large orders will be subject to additional charges if finalized with less than 30 days before event or date needed. All other orders are subject to additional fees if finalized with less than 3 days notice. Please, be aware that specialty decorations and techniques may not be available for rush orders.
Delivery
There's no additional charge for delivery inside Stanly County, NC. Charges for delivery outside Stanly County, NC begin at $25.00 and go up depending on distance, item(s) ordered, and possible terrain issues.
Pricing
Wedding Cakes All wedding cakes are priced by design. Pricing for any tiered cake with a buttercream finish starts at $2.50 a serving. This is for basic cake and icing flavors with the same icing as the filling between layers and moderate decorations. Pricing for any tiered cake with a fondant finish starts at $3.50 a serving. This is for basic cake and icing flavors with the same icing as the filling between layers and moderate decorations. Fondant and/or gumpaste accents/figures/decorations are extra and are priced according to design needs.
Below, a sample of a $2.50 per serving wedding cake. It's filled and iced in basic buttercream with moderate icing decorations.

3-D Cakes
Prices for 3-D/Carved cakes start at $3.00 a serving. There is a 12 serving minimum. 3-D cakes are priced according to design. More complex designs will incur higher pricing due to structural needs and degree of difficulty.
